A public voice that does real work. For founders, executives, and organizations ready to become impossible to ignore.
About
Tinsley Town is a boutique executive brand advisory led by Katherine Tinsley a UMiami MBA, media veteran, and investment analyst who works at the intersection of visibility, strategy, and business outcomes.
She works with two kinds of clients: corporations investing in executive thought leadership as a hiring, business development, and brand lever and individual executives who want a public voice that belongs to them, not their employer.
Most advisors have one angle. Katherine works from three: the operator who has built her own ventures, the strategist who has evaluated early-stage deals in an investment room, and the on-camera talent who has interviewed hundreds of celebrities and covered some of the biggest stages in entertainment. That combination is the whole offer.
The Strategist
Katherine built her name the hard way, in the newsroom, as a working journalist. Long hours, countless celebrity interviews, and years of press junkets to earn a full time seat in a field that rarely gives one up. Her bylines run across Grazia USA, OK! Magazine, Wonderwall, The Royal Observer, and Good Housekeeping, where she covered everything from the British royal family to breaking entertainment news. At The Knockturnal she hosted Create + Conversate, an interview series with rising digital creators. The marquee moments like NFL Honors, BravoCon, and Sundance with WarnerMedia were a fraction of the beat.
Then she crossed the table. As a deal analyst with the University of Miami's 'Cane Angel Network, she ran diligence on real early stage startups inside a live investment room, sourcing, evaluating, and pressure testing ventures alongside real investor dollars. She has also built her own ventures, so she advises from experience, not theory.
That's the rare part. Most advisors have one lens. Katherine has three: the journalist who knows how attention is actually won, the operator who has built, and the analyst who learned to read a company from the inside.
The Numbers
A regional Organ Procurement Organization. No content strategy. No defined audience. Six months later, the numbers tell the rest.
The Work
Whether your audience is investors, consumers, the press, or the public, the work is always the same. Define the narrative. Build the system. Put it in front of the people who need to hear it.
You have built something real. Now your visibility needs to work as hard as you do, for fundraising, partnerships, press, and growth. We define your founder narrative and build the system that puts it in front of the right audience.
Founder NarrativeYou are the smartest person in the room that nobody outside your company has heard of. We build a public narrative that travels with you, opening doors to board seats, speaking circuits, media, and next-chapter opportunities.
Executive NarrativeYour mission, product, or impact is not reaching the audience that needs to find it. We diagnose the gap, define the narrative, and build a distribution system that compounds over time regardless of channel.
Organizational NarrativeThe Credentials
Aside from her career experience, Katherine studied Economic Theory at Sarah Lawrence College, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts & Sciences. Her research tells you how she thinks. She studied consumer trends in the textured hair care market, examined how declining dating rates among Gen Z women threaten the future of the Black middle class, and analyzed how the tier system shapes outcomes for Chicago Public Schools students. She also studied French literature, translating excerpts of James Baldwin's Giovanni's Room from English back into the French of the city where Baldwin wrote it.
She later earned her MBA from the University of Miami, focusing on marketing, project management, and venture capital analysis through the 'Cane Angel Network. The throughline across all of it is the same. Katherine connects culture, economics, and behavior into a single picture, then finds the story inside it.
